SUMMARY:Acting (In-Person Summer Camp) Rising 1st - 4th Grades
DESCRIPTION:In this week-long\, half-day summer theatre camp\, students will explore the joys of acting and theatre arts! With a fun combination of training\, rehearsal\, and performance\, young artists will learn the foundations of theatre through engaging acting\, voice\, movement\, and art activities. With a focus on imagination\, improvisation\, characterization\, and collaboration\, students will discover new tools for expression and apply these skills in a short performance presented at the end of the week for a small audience. This week is perfectly suited for imaginative students who are excited to collaborate with peers and professionals and interested in expanding their theatre skill set. No previous experience required. Space is limited. \n \n\nDates: June 28 - July 2\n\nTime: 9AM - 12 PM \n\nTuition: $180*\n\nGrades: Rising 1st - 4th\n\nLocation: Flat Rock Rock Playhouse\n \n\nStudio 52 is supported by Walnut Cove Members Association and Eaton Corporation. This project was supported by the North Carolina Arts Council\, a division of the Department of Natural and Cultural Resources. www.NCArts.org\n \n\n*Payment options \n \n\nTuition payments can be completed in full online. \n \n\nPartial payments may be made over the phone by calling the Box Office at (828) 693-0731. A $25 deposit is required to secure a student's spot in the class. Full payment must be completed before the first day of camp.\n \n\n?Students and families that register for more than one class are offered a $25 discount for each additional class. This offer applies to multiple classes for one student or family discounts for siblings. \n \n\nA small number of full and partial need-based scholarships are available upon application for every tuition-based program at Studio 52 through the Dave Hart Scholarship Fund.\n\n?\n\nApplications for Summer Camps are due by June 1.
