SUMMARY:**CANCELED** Seminar Series: Maximizing the Multi-Generational Workplace
DESCRIPTION:From Touch Tone to iPhone Maximizing the potential of various generations in the workplace\n\n\n\nIn the last 15-20 years\, the discussions we've been having around various generations in the workplace has focused largely on the differences\, or what sets them apart. This has led to an even deeper divide in the "generation gap" and has done more to distance employers from employees\, rather than bring them together. What we should be discussing instead is how fundamentally similar we all are as humans so that we work on building bonds and bridges\, not brick walls.\n\n\n\nIn this session\, we will explore how similar we all are in terms of what we want\, need and crave. Building on that\, participants will learn key strategies to get the most out of the diverse skill sets and perspectives that a multigenerational workforce can bring.\n\n\n\nAbout our Speaker: Matt Heller\n\nAfter 20+ years in hospitality leadership and human resources\, Matt Heller founded Performance Optimist Consulting in 2011 with one simple goal: Help Leaders Grow. Matt now works with organizations large and small to help them improve leadership competencies\, customer service\, employee motivation and teamwork.\n\n \n\nAs a speaker\, workshop facilitator and coach\, Matt has developed a proven track record for being able to easily relate to those around him\, giving them solid tools they can use immediately. His engaging presentations not only captivate the learner's attention\, but also encourage them to get involved and participate.\n\n \n\nHis first book\, "The Myth of Employee Burnout" (2013) addresses how leaders can overcome the all-too common phenomenon of employees burning out\, or losing motivation over time.\n\n \n\nReleased in 2017\, Matt's second book\, "ALL CLEAR! A Practical Guide for First Time Leaders and the People Who Support Them"\, tackles the difficult process of transitioning to a leadership role. The book provides valuable lessons both for the newly promoted leaders as well as the management teams charged with supporting and guiding their journey.\n\n \n\nAlso in 2017\, Matt joined forces with Josh Liebman to create the AttractionPros Podcast. Weekly episodes feature engaging conversations with dynamic leaders on a wide range of topics. Matt and Josh also use this platform to help listeners improve leadership competencies and create amazing guest experiences.\n\n \n\nMatt\, his wife Linda\, and their dog Otis live in Hendersonville\, NC.
