DESCRIPTION:Helene Recovery Resource Fair & Remembrance Event\n\nSeptember 27\, 2026\n\nEdneyville Elementary Gymnasium\n\n2875 Pace Road\, Hendersonville\, NC\n\n2:00pm   5:00pm\n\nRemembrance Program at 3:00pm\n\n\n\nOn the second Anniversary of Helene's passing through western North Carolina\, the Disaster Recovery Partnership (DRP) in Henderson County is hosting a Helene Recovery Resource Fair & Remembrance Event. The event is free to attend and open to all.\n\n\n\nThe Resource Fair will offer residents a chance to meet DRP staff who are ready to answer questions and assist residents who are beginning their recovery journey. Local nonprofits\, including Children and Family Resource Center\, Habitat for Humanity\, True Ridge\, Samaritan's Purse\, and Pisgah Legal will be joined by several more agencies and all will all provide current resources and information\, and answer questions.\n\n \n\nThe IAM Mobile Pantry will be on site for those in need of groceries and Speak Life Community Church will offer complimentary hot dogs and snacks to the attendees. The Henderson County Mobile Library will be in the parking lot and open to all.\n\n \n\nCommunity members are invited to attend and gather important information as they continue recovery. At 3:00pm a short remembrance program will honor the second anniversary of the storm and celebrate the commitment our community has made to the recovery process.
