DESCRIPTION:Date: January 13\, 2026\n\nTime: 2:00 p.m.\n\nLocation: Polk County Public Libraries\, Saluda Branch\n\nSpeaker: Alan Cameron\n\n \n\nAlan will discusses the 18 non-venomous and two venomous species of snakes that inhabit Polk and Henderson Counties.  This includes some aspects of their life history\, reproduction\, dealing with problem snakes\, the danger of venomous snake bites and treating such bites for both humans and pets. \n\nAlan Cameron has been a volunteer with the NC Wildlife Resources Commission for the last 20 years.
